Witnesses said the dark blue car was travelling from the Ngong direction at speed when it lost control, mounted the pavement and hit a woman waiting for a matatu. She reportedly died at the scene, while two others were rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The wreck then went up in flames. Initial accounts suggest angry boda boda riders at the scene set the car on fire after the collision. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was trapped inside.<\/p>\n<p>Police are investigating what caused the driver to lose control.<\/p>\n<p>The crash comes amid rising concern over road safety.
